This course focuses on explaining the three general states that matter is divided into, the basic properties of these three states and the nature of phase change, the basic types of bonds that exist in the structure of matter, and the fundamental nature of liquids. The student will also learn about how to calculate hydrostatics using Pascal’s law and basic calculations for determining pressure, volume, and temperature using the Boyle’s, Charles and Gay-Lussac’s, and Ideal Gas Laws.
